A smart ( & chic ) trend that is sweeping the nation is: second run gowns. With the help of my handy-dandy search engine, I found numerous sites pointing towards new and barely worn gowns, as well as "wedding favors" available for pennies on the dollar!
Along with favorites like ebay & etsy.com, the Salvation Army and Goodwill host many "Bridal trunk shows." These feature new gowns ( from boutiques which have gone out of business ) and "estate gowns!" What we are hearing is that you can pick up a $2000 dress for $20 (tax deductible too) - really!
Call your local Salvation Army or Goodwill for more information, and check out this link for an example of the possibilities!
