Fab.You.Lous Event Planners!

Smart and Chic Bride Artists work with wonderful vendors and love to pass names on. Our latest find is Fab you lous Event Design - This boutique company isn't tied down to one style - they love it all! Owner and Planner, Kirsten Fischer takes pride in a portfolio that has a wide array of styles, budgets, and cultural backgrounds. She notes that she loves working within any budget to see how creative they can get.

S&C: What are some highlights of your Bridal services?

Kirsten: Our philosophy at fab.you.lous event design is that it's all about you. We work with couples to create a day that is focused on their traditions, their unique relationship, and their fantastic sense of style. We’d love to design everything for them, but if they’ve already got the whole day planned, we’ll help pull everything off, while giving them full credit for those super cool centerpieces. We want our couples to be in control of what they see on their wedding day and it's our job to create an experience, not just plan an event. We offer the full range of services from planning the whole thing, to picking up where couples left off, or just coordinating what they've planned. We can take care of any part of the planning process for them.

S&C: What’s one piece of prep advice you could give to Twin Cities’ brides?

Kirsten: Take your time! With all the excitement and rush to plan, many couples rush into buying items or booking vendors without doing research or really taking the time to discover what their personal style is. Because of this, they end up with 35 vases that they hate or they end switching vendors out because in their excitement to go crazy with planning, they neglected to see if they really clicked well and read the fine print. I love to tell people to take their time to enjoy such a hope-filled time in their lives and to take their time planning every piece of the day so that it reflects them in every way possible. This way they'll make the most of their wedding day investments and be happy with every minute of the day!

Do you need to b-inspired?

Anyone who has worked with an event coordinator will tell you how invaluable they are! I recently got to interview Nicole Walesch, the director & owner of b.inspired events.

Nicole has owned b.inspired for 6 years. She confessed that her love of (everything) weddings went back to the first one she attended - at age 7!

Nicole has 2 goals for Wedding Couples:

1. She wants them to ENJOY the Wedding process.
2. The Wedding should be a true reflection of the couple.

She meets these goals by staying "ultra organized." Nicole starts off with a clever questionnaire that lets her know important details about the Couple - including "what have you liked/disliked about previous weddings, what are your favorite stores, and your preferred method of communication?"

Nicole strives to have her Bride and the entire Wedding party feeling pampered - she's been known to toss in something fun & unexpected for her Wedding Party as a token of her commitment to go above and beyond.
